Morning Mist began at a mountain retreat in the Vietnamese jungle. Sitting by a waterfall above a valley of rising mist, François recorded the water and the birds around him and noted his first melodic ideas. Back in the studio he recorded the violins and cello in layers of ambient texture, and the waterfall and the birdsong are still in the recording.
